Position Description: Medical Assistant
Position
The
Medical Assistant provides administrative and medication management assistance
to the clinical team.
Essential Duties
This position includes, but is not limited to, the following
essential functions:
- Manage referrals and scheduling
of treatment appointments.
- Provide education to
clients in individual and group settings.
- Communicate with referral source on client progress.
- Responsible for performing
and recording vitals.
- Must maintain electronic filing
system in an efficient and orderly manner.
- Assist medication
management department and distribute medications as appropriate and directed.
- Interact in the
community with other agencies, representing Trivium Life Services.
- Marketing
responsibilities as assigned.
- Comply
with all HIPAA regulations in coordination with the HIPAA Compliance
Officer.
- Abide
by all Trivium Life Services Corporate Compliance policies and Code of
Ethics.
- Complete trainings as identified by Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.

These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Medical Assistant's job. While performing the
responsibilities of the Medical Assistant job, the employee is required to talk
and hear. The employee is often required
to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate
keys on a keyboard. The employee is
often required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and may kneel or crouch. Vision abilities required by this job include
close vision.
Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal
for an office environment. The noise
level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Work may require occasional weekend and/or
evening work.
Requirements/Qualifications
- High school diploma
or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification
program required.
- Current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant or
Clinical Medical Assistant in the state of Idaho required.
- Prior experience as a medical assistant in behavioral health
preferred.
