Philanthropy and Business Development Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with local businesses, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and other community entities to enhance Trivium's visibility and create new opportunities for referrals and collaborations. This includes identifying new partnership opportunities and maintaining regular communication with existing partners.
  • Track business development impact and activities weekly, reporting progress to the VP of Philanthropy and PR.
  • Coordinate and execute business development activities, maintaining accountability to a weekly and monthly weighted points system, ensuring personal outreach activities lead directly to referrals to Trivium
  • Organize program tours for referral sources, political partners, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in producing necessary fundraising and business development materials.
  • Coordinate and carry out special events to support business development and philanthropic initiatives
  • Oversee and contribute to digital marketing initiatives, creating content to promote Trivium's services and events, and coordinating online campaigns that support community outreach and business development efforts. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all channels.

People Management

  • Design and plan cultivation events and activities to engage business development and philanthropic prospects
  • Build meaningful relationships with community members, political partners, referral sources, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with administrative support staff to strengthen in-house services, such as prospect management systems, gift processing, and reporting procedures.
  • Plan and manage recognition initiatives for donors and volunteers.
  • Contribute to prospect identification and research for both philanthropic and business development purposes.
  • Participate in other activities as needed to achieve business development goals.
  • Focus on customer and donor relations as a primary responsibility, ensuring the needs of stakeholders are continually met.

Working Conditions

Working conditions are typical of an office environment. The noise level is generally quiet to moderate. Occasional weekend and/or evening work may be required based on business needs.

Requirements/Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, the individual must meet the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of business development experience preferred
